NEXT PHASE RUGBY and WYRC Announce Partnership
Next Phase Rugby and Woodlands Rugby have joined forces to support the hundreds of Woodlands youth in their move beyond high school and to play collegiate rugby. Woodlands Rugby athletes playing in the 2023 High School Season and beyond will have the opportunity for premium access into the Next Phase recruiting spotlight.
Next Phase Rugby is an online platform that connects college rugby programs with high school rugby players. Launched in 2021, Next Phase Rugby has quickly become the largest online rugby recruiting platform in the country with thousands of high school players from the USA and abroad. The college database includes hundreds of men’s and women’s teams across all collegiate divisions.
Woodlands Youth Rugby Club, based in The Woodlands, Texas is a youth rugby club driven to grow youth rugby by fostering an inspirational, inclusive, safe, and enjoyable environment through teamwork, respect, discipline and sportsmanship. We value quality coaching, competition, long-term player development and partnering with like-minded organizations, both local and across the globe.
Lance Raper, VP Operations / HS Boys Team Manager said: “We take extreme ownership in preparing our youth to play rugby beyond our club. We take a hands-on approach in assisting our graduating players find the best fit for them at the next level. We provide guidance to our players and their families regarding all of the opportunities they have, whether it is a local men’s club, college club, college varsity program, or playing professionally. Partnering with Next Phase Rugby will be instrumental in providing a proven platform that is well connected in the collegiate arena.
